AfSAE/SAACI Announce Collaboration
The African Society of Association Executives (AfSAE) and The South African Association for the Conference Industry (SAACI) have announced a multi-year collaboration to bring global association management education to the Southern African Region. Starting at this year’s SAACI Annual Congress taking place, July 28th - 30th 2019 at Elangeni Maharani, Durban, AfSAE will be offering an education track for Association Executives.
SAACI CEO Rudi Van Der Vyver said, “This is a great natural extension to what SAACI is and who it serves. Why wouldn’t we include the customers of our industry to learn and interact with us? We learn best from each other.” Association professionals will be able to participate in specific SAACI sessions, attend curated association management sessions, and join SAACI attendees during networking sessions as well as some social events including the Gala Evening.
“As we look to regionalize our professional programming, SAACI is the ideal partner in Southern Africa. They are established, with a great reputation for serving their members and being innovative at the same time,” adds Jeffers Miruka, AfSAE’s President. AfSAE has been moving swiftly to support association development and education in all regions of Africa with programming this year in Eastern Africa, Rwanda and Ghana.
